Agni & Relationships
Ayurveda teaches that life is relationships...
"Sattvam, atman, shariram" The relationship with our consciousness, mind, and body are the foundation for being able to cultivate nourishing relationships with ourselves, with every being, and our environment.
Relationships are so profound, and I have to share that I am always learning so much from them. Ego breaks so the heart can shine its purest and sweet light.
It is the practice of unconditional love.
The practice of creating that safe space to allow each other, each being, each soul, to just be... To let ourselves open our heart to the mirror of pure awareness.
Ayurveda explains how agni (our digestive fire) plays an essential role in our relationships.
In order for us to digest not only the food that we eat but also our thoughts, feelings, and emotions we need a healthy and balance digestive fire.
I wanted to share with you some simple practices to restore and balance agni - so that life can be digested with more sweetness, compassion, clarity, and love.
• Eat 3 meals a day at least 4 or 5 hours apart.
• Chew your food until it is liquid.
• Eat warm or room temperature foods.
• Make mealtime a time for conscious eating.
• Honor you food before eating.
• Be in silence or by positive and nourishing talks.
• Go for a walk after eating.
"If you worship agni, you will be blessed with perfect health.
Agni is the main source of life." - Dr. Vasant Lad
